Water hypochlorous acid can kill a variety of microorganisms, including bacterial propagules, viruses, fungi and spores. Using suspension bactericidal test, when the ratio of disinfectant to bacterial suspension was 1001:1 and the effective chlorine content was 50ml of hypochlorous acid water, the killing time of Campylobacter, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, tinea albuginea and Gram-negative aerobic bacilli was less than 15s at room temperature. At 40℃, the killing time of the spores of Aspergillus Niger and Subtilis var. nigra was less than 30s. Similarly, water hypochlorous acid with effective chlorine content of 50mg/L was inactivated to influenza virus and norovirus for 15s at room temperature. In the quantitative killing test of suspension method with addition of organic matter, the logarithmic value of killing subtilis var. nigra spores by water hypochlorite containing 200mg/L of available chlorine for 10min-20min was greater than 5.
