Determination of blue ink:

The principle of blue ink determination method is that the color of blue ink can be oxidized and faded by the effective chlorine in bleaching powder. The content of effective chlorine in bleaching powder is calculated according to the volume of blue ink consumed.

Required Reagent: blue ink (any) Required Instrument: large white bowl, small white bowl, one glue straw (pen straw is also acceptable)

Here are the steps:

1. Weigh out 10g of bleach in a large white bowl and add 200ml of clean water. Stir for 1 minute to dissolve thoroughly and let stand for 5 minutes.

2. Draw 100 drops of the upper bleaching powder through a plastic pipette and drop them into a small white bowl. Wash the rubber head dropper with water and then absorb the blue ink and gradually drop it into the small white bowl.

3. Calculate empirical formulas

Percentage of effective chlorine of bleach = % of blue ink drops consumed.

Why does a high concentration of saline wastewater have a particularly strong effect on microorganisms?
Why does a high concentration of saline wastewater have a particularly strong effect on microorganisms?
The unit structure of microorganism is cell, and the cell wall is equivalent to semi-permeable membrane. When the chloride concentration is less than or equal to 2000mg/L, the osmotic pressure that the cell wall can withstand is 0.5-1.0 atmosphere. Even if the cell wall and cytoplasmic membrane have certain toughness and elasticity, the osmotic pressure that the cell wall can withstand will not be greater than 5-6 atmosphere. However, when the chloride concentration in the aqueous solution is above 5000mg/L,

Microbial life activities and substance metabolism are closely related to pH value. Most microorganisms are adapted to a pH range of 4.5 to 9, while the optimal pH range is 6.5 to 7.5. When the pH is lower than 6.5, fungi begin to compete with bacteria, and when the pH is up to 4.5, fungi will be completely dominant in the biochemical tank, which seriously affects the sedimentation result of sludge. When the pH exceeds 9, the metabolic rate of microorganisms will be hindered. Different microorganisms have different pH range requirements. In aerobic biological treatment, pH can vary between 6.5 and 8.5; In anaerobic biological treatment, the pH of microorganisms is relatively strict, and the pH should be between 6.7 and 7.4.

What is the pretreatment of wastewater? What are the goals of pretreatment?
The treatment before biochemical treatment is conventionally called pretreatment. Because the cost of biochemical treatment is relatively low and the operation is relatively stable, the general industrial wastewater is treated by biochemical method, and the treatment of wastewater is also treated by biochemical method as the main treatment means.
