Fish and Shrimp Farm Water Quality Management: Practical Protection Plan
1. Core Needs of Aquaculture Water Quality Management
In fish and shrimp farming, water cleanliness directly affects seedling survival and harvest. Traditional maintenance is cumbersome, while calcium hypochlorite (granular/tablet form) integrates easily into operations to solve bacteria and algae problems, reducing farming pressure.

2. Usage Methods in Different Aquaculture Stages
- Before seedling release: Sprinkle fast-dissolving granules into the pond to kill pathogens and algae in 24 hours, improving seedling survival rate;
- Growth period: Put slow-release tablets into floating dispensers to control bacteria without irritating fish and shrimp, reducing water changes;
- Abnormality handling: When water is turbid or fish/shrimp are abnormal, sprinkle a small amount of fast-dissolving granules for improvement in a few hours.
3. Usage Notes
- Store granules and tablets in a dry, cool place, away from water and feed;
- Adjust dosage by area (50-100g granules or 2-3 tablets per 100 cubic meters);
- Observe fish and shrimp 12 hours after use, change water in small amounts if abnormal.
4. Summary
Calcium hypochlorite is easy to operate with stable effects, covering the whole aquaculture process. It helps farmers reduce energy in water quality management, focus on seedling cultivation and ensure harvest.
